Chansons de Geste [Songs of heroic deeds/Songs of gestures], similarly to their literary original, focus on figures of the historically significant individuals. Concentrating on gestures accompanying the speeches delivered by people important to the world history of the 20th century, they transcribe them into sound by means of Theremin (an electronic instrument played without being touched, by controlling its electromagnetic field, invented in post-revolutionary Russia). Chansons de Geste are thus a song of the twentieth- century history, and - above all - an audiovisual portrait of power.
